ICS London is an independent, IB Continuum and IB World School with over 40 years of history, providing an internationally recognised IB education to students aged 3-18 (PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programmes). Our school fosters a welcoming and diverse environment, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Facilities Manager to join our community on a Part time basis (24 hours per week- Weekdays only). This role will start in April 2025.
Role Overview:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operation of the school premises, ensuring that health and safety standards are met across all facilities. This key role requires an organised and proactive individual to oversee day-to-day maintenance tasks, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for students and staff.

The successful candidate will have:
Experience:
Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, preferably within a school or educational setting.
Experience managing maintenance projects and contractors.
Strong experience in health and safety compliance, including risk assessments and inspections.
Experience with budget management and cost control for maintenance and repair work.
Previous hands-on experience in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, heating systems, and general repairs.
Experience in managing security systems (e.g., alarms, key-holding, CCTV).
Skills:
Strong Organisational Skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines effectively.
Excellent Communication Skills (both written and verbal) for liaising with staff, contractors, and external suppliers.
Problem-Solving Abilities for responding to urgent maintenance requests and resolving issues quickly.
Health and Safety Knowledge to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and best practices.
Technical Skills in building maintenance systems (e.g., heating, ventilation, electrical systems).
Computer Literacy, including knowledge of maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
Relevant Qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related field (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent).
Health and Safety Certification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH) or equivalent.
Fire Safety Training (e.g., Fire Warden Certification) is desirable.
First Aid Certificate is beneficial.
